  The lady working at the time of our visit didn't seem like she wanted kids in there. Didn't seem kid friendly to me. Felt like she was upset my young child wasnt getting all the paint on the pot, yet there was paper covering the whole table and I was helping her because we were clearly being watched the entire time. She watched me like a hawk when I went up to refill my paint, like I was only allowed to put one drop in there. Look if you don't have money to get new paint (obviously) then you shouldn't be running a business that requires paint. The whole thing made a free feeling fun day not free feeling or fun at all. Also over priced especially for the bad vibe received. I will not return here.

  We were in from out of state, we used to live in Illinois, and I was looking for something fun to do with my daughter. I'm so glad I discovered this place! Great selection, the explained everything, including pricing, thoroughly. Tons of natural light, even though it was a blustery day, seating was all in front of floor to ceiling windows. The painted samples of every piece they carried were adorable. They had every tool you could think of to create your masterpiece. The staff were all very helpful, knowledgeable and kind. Even the bathroom was uniquely decorated! I wish we had one close to us here in TN. The closest ceramics studio is over an hour away, but I guess it's closer to us than Crystal Lake lol We will definitely plan on Color Me Mine being one of our stops next time we're back home. Thank you for such a great afternoon!
